Kolonne Null is one of the world’s leading producers of non-alcoholic wine, based in Germany. Unlike traditional wineries, Kolonne Null focuses exclusively on alcohol-free wines. As Max Allen explains: "Making non-alcoholic wine that actually tastes good is particularly challenging. To legally call it 'wine' on the label, the product must first be fermented like any regular wine to produce a normal alcoholic wine. Then, the alcohol is removed, a process known as dealcoholisation, which often leaves the wine tasting 'hollow'. That’s why many non-alcoholic wines end up tasting quite sweet: the winemaker compensates for the loss of flavour by adding sugar." Pale salmon colour, fine and fresh perfume, good venosity on the tongue and a good clean finish. Also works well with soda and ice as a refreshing long drink.
